Bowie High School Locked Down For Threat Investigation (Developing)

Police say that Bowie High School was locked down on Monday afternoon as the department investigates a reported threat.

An alert was issued shortly before 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 18, as the Bowie Police Department investigated at the building, though they made note it is not believed to be credible.

The nature of the threat was not disclosed by investigators.

According to the department, parents and residents are being advised to avoid going to the school or calling the police while they continue to investigate.
